There is something about a group of people all doing the save movement together that just brings the room together or in the case of social media the whole world together. Swan Lake has plenty of dance parties and you know you’ve learned all your latest dance moves from social media lately. One thing I love most about the larger story ballets are all the festive dance parties. Then of course the is the famous Swan Lake quartet with the four little swans. In a few dramatic moments Odette appears and catches Odile’s attention as they swan dance together Tik Tok duet style. Join Boston Ballet to see Swan Lake from now through June 5th at the Citizen’s Bank Opera House. Thanks to the pandemic, it has been a while since I have seen Swan Lake and I started to wonder why Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov’s ballet was considered #iconic. If Swan Lake was a Tik Tok it would definitely go viral.
